  • still more wick questions

    hello all,

in my search for cheaper source for wicks, i have come across a local website that offers a large selection of wicks. however, they only mention flat wicks for paraffin / stearin mix & round wicks for beeswax but i use rapeseed wax. can i use the flat wicks & just go up to the next size? for example, the site gives the below details - i was thinking of testing both the 3x9 and the 3x12 for tea lights.

Paraffin and stearin mixture and gel candles 20 to 60 mm, flat wick 3x9.
Paraffin and stearin mixture and gel candles 40 to 60 mm, flat wick 3x12

or do i have to look for wicks specifically for natural waxes? what's the difference any ways? i was hoping to avoid the round wicks as these have to be inserted with the proper end up - trying to keep things as simple as possible.

    thanks!
