  • Hi, Im a newbie too

    Just wondering how much fragrance oil do you use to 500g of soy wax to make tarts. Also, could you recommend any websites where you all buy your oils from. Thanks all.

    Welcome to the site.

    For fragrance oil, it can be anything from 5% to 10%, depending on your personal preference and what the company which made your soy wax recommends. I use essential oils instead of fragrance oils, so I can't recommend any fragrance oil websites.

      Hi and

      As Stephen says, it can vary depending which Fragrance Oils you use. 500g of soy wax is going to make quite a few wax melts/tarts for you - maybe practice on a smaller amount until you get the right balance?

      A few places you will find Wax Fragrance Oils include;

      DevonScents,
      Sensory Pefection,
      WhicksnWhacks,
      eBay,
      4candles,
      Fullmoons-Cauldron

      I'm sure ther are plenty of others but you should find what you need in one of these. You'll just need to 'google' the name to find the websites.

        .... BTW if you want to try some essential Oil blends I have some 10ml bottles on my website. They do cost more but you tend not to need to use as much with wax.
