  • How hot wax ? Adding scent to melted candles

    Hi

I was reading last night on a website, that to ensure your candle is as highly scented as possible, that when you add the fragrance oil to the melted wax you must have the wax at a high temeperature - for Soy wax they suggested 180 degrees, does this sound correct?

Should the melted wax be relatively hot before adding it? Then stirring it in for at least 3 minutes?

    Thanks in advance!

Yep 180 degress (82 degrees in old money!!) sounds about right to me. Add your additives then your colour and mix well finally add your scent and stir for a minute or two and pour. I did a tutorial a while back I will post a link to it.
