Whipped Candle Icing

Hi

I want to add some 'whipped topping' onto my tarts, I read an american book which said to add cornstarch to the basic melted wax,

Does adding cornstarch really do anything?

I was just going to whisk up some plain white melted soy wax and then ice it onto the tops using a icing bag.

Not sure you'll have time to work with an icing bag Harmony...

I just leave it till it's white and like a cream consistency in the pot and then you've got a fairly short period of time to whip so it's a tad fluffy and dollop onto the surface of your tart/candle...

I've never added cornflour personally...

Yep agree no time to work with a piping bag the wax would set before you could get it out the nozle. I do exactly the same let the wax set until it forms a skin, whip the wax then dollop onto my candles. Never used cornflour either so wouldn't know how it would affect the burn properties!!
