  • container wax not sticking

hi, you must be gettin tired of these questions!!! lol

ive been using container wax in some pretty glass jars, yet it doesn't seem to be sticking too well to the glass in patches. glasses are completely clean and dry, but still happens. some are worse than others too.

anyone know why this could be happening??

    thanks again!!!

have you done a search on the subject

Hi there, I can't help I'm afraid but have you tried a search for troubleshooting on container wax, or as there are candle people about I'm sure they'll give you an answer soon. Hope it works out in the end.

It could be something to do with the pouring temperature.. I find this happens if I pour a container candle when the wax is too hot.

What type of wax is it and what temperature are you pouring at?

Are you warming up the glass before you pour. Wet spots are the bain of candle makers lives - you can pour a lovely container candle not a wet spot anywhere - and the temperatures drops - next morning lovely wet spots. You can use a heat gun and melt the wax at the wet spots but to be truthful I have learned to accept them - I don't even think people buying the candles even notice them it is just us candle makers being hard on ourselves.

        HTH.

        Cheers.
