  • Rapeseed Wax & Wick Type

    Hey Everyone.....
I'm new on here so please bare with me.....
I have been using my own soy blend wax for about a year now but want to change it up as i have been hearing more and more great things about Rapeseed Wax but struggling with wicks. Has anyone on here already using Rapeseed wax in container jars, able to help or give me advice on wick type. I'm in the UK. I have used the NT ones and also the ones for soy of various sizes but alas none worked.
    HELP!!!!!
    Thank you x

Hello Sammii and welcome to the forum.
I'm very sorry that I'm not able to help you with your enquiry as I know nothing about the technicalities of candle making. I'm not sure if we have any regular posters with those skills at the moment, but maybe someone will come along with some useful information for you.

    Linda

Hi I've been testing a LOT of rapeseed. I've found you need to wick up quite a bit and the best wicks I've found seem to be TCR wicks. However I was only testing 9cl votive sizes and still found I was wicking up something crazy to TCR 24/14. I'm guessing you'll be double wicking anything bigger! You could try VRL perhaps?
