  • Blogging problem

Right, I am going away at the end of January but I want to keep up with my blog while we are away. I am going to write the posts and want to upload them as is on the day so that I don't have to write the posts while I'm away. I've had a practise run and I can upload the text very easily from word but the pictures won't copy. I've tried this on blogger and wordpress - does anyone have any idea what I can do instead? On blogger I can't save the post and then upload it on the day as it puts it in the day when I originally wrote it. I haven't tried that for wordpress yet but it's in hand!
Any advice on how to do this would be great - thanks!

Not sure there is a way you can copy and paste images to blogger?
I find the images odd anyway as I have to upload them in order (is this just me?) and you can't move them around either

I'm not sure about blogger, but I know with wordpress you can use the "email to blog" feature and it shows images just fine. Simply attach your image to the email.

You can use a free autoresponder to set the emails to be posted on your blog on certain days, just setup the responder and input your blog email address and it'll send the emails on the days you set it to. An autoresponder is great for when you're on vacation and want to look as if you are actively still posting to your blog.

Thanks - I've figured out that there is a timestamp facility on the blog so I can write the posts now and as long as I timestamp them correctly then they will come up while we are away. Took me a while to figure out though!

          Techie questions

I'm so impressed with everyone's knowledge here (speaking as someone who doesnt have a website yet and doesnt even know what a Blog is! How inexperienced am I?!)

I make cards, pictures & general gift items using customer's own photos so I'm guessing a website could be an invaluable source of business for me? At the moment, I'm just trying to get my samples seen by people in person, either at their work premises or at craft fairs etc

If this isnt too open a question - would some of you guys mind giving me some general advice on setting up websites (DIY v professional etc) and maybe your thoughts on just how useful your own website is to your sales?

Apols if this isnt the right place on the Forum to ask, I'm still learning my way round!

Cheers everyone, Happy Day - Shaz x

I doesn't know exactly but I know with word press you can use the "email to blog" feature and it shows images just fine. Simply attach your image to the email.
