  • Stamping onto furniture.

    Hello,

I was wondering if anyone knew how to seal a stamp (of a sheep) when I've stamped it onto a piece of furniture so that I can varnish without it getting smudged.

    Many thanks,

    Claire.

Not sure, but maybe wait for it to dry completely.I think Stazon would work best.
Some inks stay wet for a while as they are used for embossing powders so igues it depnds whatyouve used.

      Hi Claire,

How about a very light spray of clear lacquer from a spray can once the stamping ink/paint is dry. It might be just enough to seal the stamped image before you have to brush over it with heavier varnish?

BTW - welcome to the forum, I'll look forward to meeting you fairly soon - I'm also the organiser of the Weedon Craft Market

        Hello!!

Thank you for your suggestion - can't wait for the Craft Market. This piece won't be coming with me as it's for my daughter who collects toy sheep so I'm doing up a set of shelves to keep her bedroom floor clear.

        See you soon.

        Claire.
