  • New member - help needed

    Hi all

I am a brand new member on here, I joined this evening after reading some of the posts as I'm looking for some help with a project - and I know there are many talented artists on here who could help.

I've been working on a new bike build ( road bicyle ) after picking up a frame that needed respraying, I want to make it totally personal and unique but I'm having trouble with the graphics. I would love to do the graphics in cut vinyl - but all of the companies I've approached have said they can happily do the big logos - but not the smaller stuff.

Having searched the internet it dawned on me that the crafting world may be the best source of help - some of the cut vinyl designs I've seen are amazing, and maybe the companies have bigger machines that can't handle the intricate small pieces.

What I want to do is get something done like this image ( 2 colour )

    TOP TUBE - LOGO 01.jpg

My bike and riding is inspired by Bradley Wiggins' Team Sky - I want to make a tribute, but not a replica

There isn't much space on the bike for this graphic - the dimensions really need to be 8cm x 2cm as the top tube on the bike is pretty narrow.

What I'm looking for is advice as to whether it is possible, or whether I need to go down the dry rub transfer route

    Thanks in advance

    Mal Skelton

Welcome to the forum. A die cutting machine would cut vinyl lettering out for you.

Hi and welcome. May I suggest that you use water slide transfers and coat with car laquer similar to custom bike work.
