  • Patching jeans

    Hi there,
I'm a newbie and complete novice. My little boy has inherited from his dad a sharp left knee - that goes through all his trousers :-) Anyhow I thought I'd have a go at patching/customising his jeans. How would I go about attaching a patch or picture etc to his jeans on the knee in a way that won't come off straight away . told you I was a novice :-)
    Cheers
    Sarah

Try the zigzag stitch of your sewing machine to attach it - I think plain running stitch would just pull out. Also I think I would try just rough stitching the hole back up as well so that it doesn't continue to unravel. I'm sure other sewers will be along soon to help out!
    Hope that helps

I've never patched a knee before? Not sure how you would get it under the machine?? (Thats if you have a machine?)

Can't you buy iron on patches?? Then I would neatly stitch this over the edge
      sorry not much help!
