  • Advice on making bags from newspapers

    Hello
I'm new here. Hope there's some crafty brains willing to be picked! I'd love to make some bags from newspapers. I have seen them elsewhere [it seems the system won't let me copy in the website address unless I've already sent 25 postings to this forum, anyway one website is called Treehugger and the product is newspaper bag if anyone wants to do a search].

I really fancy making my own but can't find a template or instructions anywhere. I'm not very good at following instructions that are only textual and do better if I can see things step-by-step...
    Many thanks for any help.

Do you mean weaving the paper?Ive seen bags made this way with crisp packets.

I've not made any yet (it's on my looooong list) but the way I would do it is to get a paper bag similar to the size you want and just take it to pieces. Even if it only gives you the shape of the bag you should be able to figure out where the extra flaps need to go to fix it all together. Don't forget to reinforce it!
