  • advice needed

    got some metallic rub ons from a craft shop that was clossing down

    the lady said you rub over your embossing with them and use your fingers i have triyed this but find it goes all over the edges whats the best way to use them if anyone has got some of these i would be greatfull of the help and advice as i havent got a clue

    Sorry i don't quite understand.

    All the rubons i have - you lay them on the card where you want them, rub over them with a lollypop stick (or something similar) then it should be stuck to your card and thats it.

    It could be that you have something different to what i have, if you post the make and 'name' of the product i'll see if i can find some on the net to have a look.

      Is it the metallic rub ons that are like chalks that you got?

      Assuming it is then if you used a stencil to emboss your card you can place the stencil over the embossed image when using the chalks/rub ons so it acts as a mask and you won't go over the edges.

      If I've got completely the wrong end of the stick then let us know and I'm sure someone will be able to help.

        I tend to use embossing boards, but when i use the rub ons on the embossed area they tend to go other the edges, im after a way where i can apply the rub ons without them looking scruffy?

        Not tried rub ons with my stencils yet.
