Where to buy velour?

Hi,

Can anyone suggest where to buy velour online? I’d like to make some soft toys with it, so it also needs to meet the toy standard requirements.

I can’t even find many references to velour on the internet; I wondered if it’s too “seventies”, and now they sell it under a different name? I'm looking for that short, soft, fabric that they use for plush toys and beanie babies.

I got some “short pile fur” from Fred Aldous, but the pile is too long for the scale of toy that I want.

Try a company called Myriad - they do educational toys & also sell cotton velour for doll & soft toy making. Its very soft & I think will just be what you're looking for.
