  • Arrgghh!!

I am stupid sometimes!! I've been a reserve for making a page for a diary for 2008 - now I've got a page but it has to be in on Saturday - luckily it can be sent by email. However, of course, my technical whizz (Matt) is away during the week and IT'S GOT TO BE IN ON SATURDAY! Sooooo, do any of you nice people out there design things using the computer? Basically I have to design a page with my details on it, the date at the top and I'm going to add photo's of my work (they will be black and white) Does this sound like something I can do in word? Or will I need a different package (free if poss!).
I hope this makes sense - and thanks!

You should be able to set this up quite easily in word. it does depend on the size that you need as to how you can do it.

You can have your photographs at the top of the page, or you can wrap your text around it.

If you're really struggling, send me a message via email and I'll see if I can help you out. I'm no expert, but have been using word a long time.

You will need to check what format they need to receive it in, as some publishers won't accept word documents, but need it to be a .pdf file.

      Hiya,
I had a long chat about what I wanted with Matt last night via email about what I wanted it to do and he talked me through it - I sent it off to the publisher tonight and she has approved it! Nothing fancy and if I had had more time I would have done something a bit better but I'm quite pleased with it!
Here's a piccie if you would like to have a look.

It's pretty difficult to see as I have done some photo's as a water mark effect in the background but if you look carefully you can see envelopes and chickens poking out!

I'm not sure where it is going to be sold! I'll have to email her and ask! I can get copies of it at virtually cost price and as it comes with a blank cover you can guess what everyone I know is going to get for Christmas - a customised diary!!
