  • Waxed paper

Having posted about the delights of this a while back I now need some to get my pinking shears to work properly! I have looked everywhere for it and was just wondering if anyone knew where to buy any from.
    Thanks in advance

Do you mean you need it to sharpen your scissors? If so, cut some aluminium foil with them......

If not, then I'm a thickie who hasn't understood !

I do need foil too to sharpen them but the waxed paper is meant to be good for unsticking them - mine are a bit sticky at the moment.

You can get waxed paper in the baking foil section of large supermarkets like tesco and asda.

I've looked in my local (and not so local) supermarkets and they don't have it and not many people have heard of it - a cook shop I went in had never heard of it!!

Hi you could kill two birds with one stone. The foil paper that wraps a pack of butter is made up of a sandwich of Aluminium foil and waxed paper.

Thanks Lisa! I'm going to try out the butter wrapper first and see how that goes and if it doesn't work then I'll actually buy some

                          Or.........

.......you could 'scribble' on ordinary paper with a white candle and then punch or cut through the scribbling. This saves buying butter and also lots of petrol!
