Help ! I am new to beading and I've just bought some large flat acrylic teardrop beads (57x35mm) (hole size 2mm). I wanted to use these as pendants and I bought some paddle pins thinking they would work but they are too small. Does anyone have any ideas how I can use the beads or where I can buy larger paddle pins to fit the beads?

    many thanks

I think the best thing to do would be to buy some wire and make your own eye pins.

What we tend to use are 3 or 4mm metal beads or size 6/0 seed beads as ''stoppers'' on either side of the bead. You can't indeed use headpins on their own for these beads.

We did quite a few projects with these and that's what came to mind.
