Does anyone know a good online source of felt? Had a look in hobbycraft but it is super expensive.

Hmmm...
...I buy felt from eBay. This lady in Alford is very good, her felt is good quality, and she does nice colours. She posts very quickly if you pay by paypal too. I've bought stuff from her for more than a year now.

Yes, Ebay is the best and cheapest place I've found for buying felt. You could also try www.cheapfabrics.co.uk

Perfect Felt Website!
This is heaven.....
http://www.witteengel.nl
You can view the site in english! A 180cm by 20cm strip of wool felt works out at £5.50 roughly, not including shipping. I think for 100% wool felt, that's really good. And the colours are lovely!

Huge range of felt.....
but a pity that they don't show you the colours. I can guess what a lot of the colours are by the names, but not all.
I'm after a pale aqua or duck egg blue colour, but I'm probably asking the impossible....found this site just now, looks quite good

eBay US Seller
This guy has wool felt, and I like his pink shades.....and a couple of the greens look interesting.
Look at auction number 150102425773
I've just asked about airmail shipping to UK, for 6 or 7 pieces of 12" by 9".
Updated 10.09pm - the chap says it's $9.95 for ten pieces!

I have 2 cheecky questions for the felt users of the group.
1. How do I tell what is wool felt?
2. what do you do with your small off cuts?"You've Got to Keep Your Mind Wide Open" - AnnaSophia Robb

Answers.....
...to questions;
1. It says so on the label, and you can tell by the look and feel of the felt. Wool felt is softer than acrylic and has a smoother, denser feel to it.
2. I don't have any off cuts, as I use tiny pieces for my things. The best thing about felt is that you can use it anyway up, so you can wiggle the shapes in to fit and not waste any.
