  • Lines on prints

The ink cartridges in the printer have just been changed but they are printing with lines all acros the picture. Its done this before but then got better, but I dont want to have to wait for it to sort itself out(however it did that).Any tips on how to get a good print? Its an Epson Stylus DX8400.

I've got that printer too, and also get lines across my prints. I've stopped using it now and use another one, but if anyone know how to fix it, that would be great!

I've had this recently on my Epson, rang hubby (the font of all computery knowledge) and he talked me through it. Might not be exactly the same on your PC but what I did was...

Go to start menu and select 'Printers & Faxes'
      Right click on your printer
      Click 'Printing Preferences'
      Click the 'Maintenence' tab
Click on 'Nozzle check' and follow directions

      Hope this helps

Thanks for your help but I tried it again today and they are printing fine, no lines(touch wood for the future)maybe its just a thing that happens when the cartridges are new.
