Registering as a Seller on Etsy - Help with entering card details

Hi everyone,

I'm about to set up my Etsy shop but before I can list my items for sale, it says I need to register my card to become a seller. It says I need to enter my credit card details or debit card with a credit card logo on it, but I don't have a credit card! I just have a Maestro Debit Card and when I try entering the details on this card its telling me it isnt correct... Does antone know if i can I still sign up to sell

The etsy help pages say

'Can I use a debit card or PayPal to become an Etsy seller?
You can use a debit card if it has a credit card logo on it (i.e., the card was issued by or is backed by a credit card company). Otherwise, you will need a credit card to become an Etsy seller. We accept PayPal as a way to pay your bill but still require a valid credit card to become an Etsy seller.

This is all about giving Etsy some security as to who they are dealing with and about payments being made for goods. Unfortunately that means even if you have a debit card or PayPal account, you can't register.
