Hi and to the forum. I don't know a huge amount about printers as hubby usually deals with anything techy in this house, however I do know that to print on the thicker, better quality cards you need one that doesn't feed it around the roller on the printer but one that feeds it under so the card stays flat (hope that makes some sense )

        Hi
We use a printer for our cards which are a fairly thick textured board. We are on our second HP Officejet Pro K5400. It cost around £85.00 a few weeks ago.
It has good and bad points, but suits us.
Pros: Prints up to 100 cards at a time.
        Quite fast.
Feed is easy at the bottom of the printer.
        Print quality is excellent.
Inks seem to last for a lot longer than you would expect -
        longer than my old Epson.
        Designed for volume printing.
        Cons: Quite noisy and clunky.
        Big as printers go.
Some people report teething troubles, but we didn't have any.
