  • Varnishing Sweets

    Hi all.
I came across somebody selling handbag charms made using varnished sweets (eg dolly mixtures). They look great and its got my head buzzing with ideas but are they gonna go bad? Anybody here ever tried it?

Or does anybody know of anyway to preserve some sweets before varnishing?

I remember seeing a whole web store based on the idea. they looked really great. I would imagine that they are very labour intensive.
I will try and find the link.

you could always make your own with fimo or something similar. The bead shop in Haddington near Edinburgh sells dolly mixture type fimo beads. I think they're 50p each.
