  • wheat heat pad

Are there any forum members that make these?

You know the thing I mean, a fabric bag filled with wheat and sometimes lavendar, which you warm in the microwave to use as a heat pad.

All the ones I can find are an oblong shape to fit around the neck, but I want a square one that I can use for my back. (about 12" square)

I thought I would ask here as I would rather buy from a forum member than an unknown on the internet.

    Thanks
    Diane

Ooh I swear by these, I have about five.

If you ever burn it in the microwave by accident, just spray it with febreeze or something like that. I'm always doing that!

You could make your own with rice if you wanted a go.

Are you any good with a sewing machine? You could easily run one up yourself! You can fill them with rice instead of wheat, which is easier to get hold of. And just add a few drops of lavender oil to it.

What a good idea for a large square one for your back though!

Thanks all, I do have a sewing machine but with all the mosaics I am supposed to be making in readiness for my fair in March, I don't think I will have the time to make my own.

They sound interesting, do you have a pic by chance? I dont care if its an animal face it's more the size that I'm interested in and, of course, the price.

Can you give me any more info. PM me if you like.
