Do I need a special Sewing Machine?

Hi,
I am hoping to make fabric house collars for our rescue but i need a machine that can stitch through
3x webbing layers + 6x satin ribbon layers + 3x decorative ribbon layers.
This is the crucial part of the collar re: safety so it must be very strong.
Will I get away with an ordinary modern machine or do I need something more industrial?
I can't afford to pay out too much.
Any suggestions?

Not sure on the new modern machines if the iner gearing would stand the strain. I know An old Treadle type would do the job as all the gearing is solid metal. My dad used to sew our canvas tent on one. Will sew leather too. They can be picked up on flea markets for next to nothing.

You may just but it would be a struggle, would probably be better off with an industrial or one of the older Bernina's
