  • Promoting your business!

    Hi All,

I just wanted to ask you all about how you can go about publicising your soaps? We've got our website up and running, and have tried adwords, Facebook and put a couple of ads in other places and the results havent been that great. I know it takes a bit of time because there are a lot of good soap makers out there!

I just wanted to put it out there are see what methods work best for who. Do blogs work at all?

    Any suggestions welcome!

For starters, make sure your link is working - just clicked on it and got 404 page not found?

Your link's not working for me either. Yes, blogs do work - mine is my main way of publicising my website.

They aren't an overnight solution though - it takes time.

No, only when it makes sense to. If I blog about a new product, for instance, I will place a link to where it can be bought.

I did this when I got people ringing me saying they were on my website but couldn't see where to buy - it turned out they were on my blog (it happened a few times!). So now I try to make it very straightforward. When a post about a product comes up in a Google search, not everyone will realise they are on a blog.
