Surely if no one else is selling the same things thats an good thing! Once you've paid etc the venue can't stop you setting up store surely? Is that what you're worried about?

Hmmmm I would have thought they'd give you the £30 back if you couldnt do it, but at the end of the day if you can't they really shouldnt call it a crafts fair, its misleading because soap making is very big on the crafts scene. Can you e-mail the organiser perhaps?

            Hi

I shouldn't worry I am usually the only one doing soap etc when I attend craft fairs. There is a local one which runs in the week as well as weekend and the organiser is really fair as she has 2 soap people on her books and the others do the week days and I do some of the weekends - basically they have been with the organiser for sometime and they get "first choice" which does make a bit like second choice but in theory does work well.

I am doing a fair in July and I know that there is another soap person there which has made me feel a bit worried as there will be 2 of us.

Dont worry just go and enjoy yourself.

Hello! I sell some of my soaps along with my arty stuff at fairs organised by craftfairsscotland, so I'm sure it won't be a problem (and it's definitely a good thing to be the only soap maker - I usually am!!).

Which one are you going to?
