  • Bath Salts

    Hello cosmetics people!

I have some lovely dried lavender (from my garden) and wonder if I can just add it to some bath salts and stick it in the bath? Or do I have to do something with it?

You can - if you want to use it for yourself, but you can't sell it unless you get a Safety Assessment and Certificate.

Add a few drops of Lavender essential oil.

Or get/make little muslin bags and fill with oatmeal, sea or epsom salts, your lavender and a little essential oils and hang under the hot tap or just chuck it in the bath. To save sewing cut a square of muslin, fine calico or similar; put your mix in the middle; gather up the corners and tie cord around to close it up (bit like a classic pudding/dumpling).

More questions - what proportions do you suggest - I have LOADS of lav! Also, do I just stick the ingredients in a bowl and mix about?

          Thanks!

You will not need a lot of lavender buds, to half a kilo of salts, add about 1 tablespoon lavender buds, and just 2-3 drops EO
