  • Coral beads

This may seem a silly question but generally speaking when people sell coral beads, do they mean beads which are made from stuff which is harvested from a living coral/coral reef?

I try and make sure that it is only the colour coral. If beads are sold as the actual coral then I dont touch them

Depends on the coral. Sponge coral is a natural organic substance is not an endangered species but a sustainable product. Its farmed and therefore not removed from a living reef and therefore causes no enviromental damage associated with traditional corals.
