  • Help with Phone Charms Please

    Hello Everyone,

I was wondering if anyone could offer me any help and advice. My Grandaughter wants to make some phone charms as little Christmas gifts for her friends. I have dabbled a little bit in jewellry making, but only the odd necklace or two, (being a knitter myself).

We have bought some charms, the little stringy things that you fit onto the phone, some lovely beads and thread, she has now decided (bless her!), that she wants some chain to put the charms on to aswell. Where on earth do I get that from. Any help or advice will be greatly appreciated.

    Hi

There is always ebay look for continuous trace chain BUT for just a small amount try looking in your local haberdashery shop if you have one, mine sells chains as well as all the usual stuff.

    Hope that helps.

A lot of online bead shops sell chain by the foot or metre. You would be best using chain with smallish links fo mobile charms.
Here are some sites that may help

          Hi
Phone charms are a nice easy introduction to jewellery making, I hope she has a lot of fun. She is already getting creative which is great.
We also sell reasonable priced chain, of many types by the metre as well as cute little ready made fine chain tassels. You will need to look at the link below my signature.
          Enjoy your charm making together.

A very big THANK YOU to everyone who replied to my plea for help. We now, thanks to you all, have everything we need, (until her wonderful creative mind thinks of something else!).

We went to the Pudsey Lace Fair in Leeds yesterday, and I could see her mind ticking whilst looking at the spangles on the bobbins, so I'm just waiting for the 'Nanna what about if we make some of those'.

Again thankyou for all your help.
