Whats gluing swaorvski crystals down called?

I have been gluing swarovski crystals on rings, watches, pens etc etc for a few years now, but is there a name for this hobby?

I'd love to know so I can get inspiration from other peoples works of art!

Difficult or tricky, thats what id call it.I do the same and the amount of times Ive dropped them or stuck them to myself is ridiculous.
Sorry, Im not sure what its called.I know the pre sticky back fixing is known as hotfix,but thats it Im afraid.

Back when my sister was a working silversmith and jeweller, she used to call it 'modern chemical bonding'. (And she never let the customers see the Araldite!)

It's strange isn't it that there's no name for such an intricate hobby! It would make it so much easier to find others who love it too.

I spend so long doing it but can never say it's a hobby as there isn't really a name for it. I call it crystalizing (like the swarovski shop) and I think it's apt as your putting crystals on objects!

I use araldite, tho I find it dries too quickly and I end up wasting a fair bit.

I thought that too - since you would (well I would!) describe anything with swarovski flatbacks glued on as "embellished with Swarovski crystals"
