  • Wanted -Recycled Glass Beads

I've seen a bracelet that I would like to make but need recycled glass round beads for it. Can I find any on the internet?!!! For companies in the UK? Not a chance but am hoping that somebody on the forum can signpost me to a supplier. Otherwise, I'm going to have to order from Ebay Canada or America with a great whacking postal charge to pay too.

    Oh dear, not good.

I'm not entirely sure what you're looking for, but there are a few places selling glass trade beads (usually made in Africa).

How about using lampwork beads though? If you particularly want them to be recycled, many lampwork artists are happy to make them from old bottles - including those you supply yourself.

Talking of handmade glass beads have you seen these ?www.tillermanbeads.co.uk

The lady who sells them is absolutely lovely. I know I say that of everyone who's ever had a stall near mine, but it's true, she is.

PS...did I say the beads are lovely too?

Must .... not .... buy ... more .... beads! Those are georgeous!

I have just started adding lampwork beads to my jewellery (and when I have got anything made, there will be a sign on the stall saying 'featuring handmade lampwork glass beads by British artists').

Hi A friend of mine makes beads from used beer bottles, so I think you can class that as recycling.
