There's a new Bead Fair in South Yorkshire

It's a Bead and Gem fair, and it's at Elsecar, near Barnsley for the first time, on 25th and 26th July.

Hiya, I had seen this too, but I was pregnant at the time and my baby was due on the 25th July so I ruled it out and was just going to go to the one in Harrogate in October, however my little girl decided to arrive early! and is now 11 days old! So I still might go along.... I'm new to all this and haven't been to a bead fair before.

congratulations Nicola, a word to the wise only take cash cos you will spend far more than you anticipate...if you are anything like me, (kid in a china shop springs to mind,,)

I'll definately try to make it, Jancel, how will I find your stall? I'll be the one with the massive double buggy (tandem style) but will probably only have the baby with me as the 16 month old will no doubt get bored and want to be running around! Thanks for the tip about taking cash. I'm quite looking forward to it now

Not everyone at the fairs (me included) has a card facility, so it's a good idea to bring cash from that point of view as well.

I am interested in pearls at the minute, I am going to be a bridesmaid in March and have seen a pearl memory wire bracelet project I want to do for me and the other bridesmaids. Our dresses are going to be a dusky teal /greeny-blue colour taffeta, so I'll be looking for greens and natural coloured (creams) pearls.

Haven't posted enough times yet to put links on here but the bracelet I want to make is on spoiltrottenbeads website (co.uk) under beading projects - bracelet projects - it's the freshwater pearl cuff.I'm thinking of using Swarovski crystal rondelles instead of the silver bali rondelles. I'm trying to think of ideas to make a co-ordinating necklace too, so if you have any thoughts....
