  • New Years Resolutions

    Hi

After not having much time to do anything creative Ihave decided this year will be a year where I make time for myself and my beads and make at least 10 things a week!

Does anyone else have any resolutions?

I'm determined to use up lots of the stuff I have had for ages - some of it for years

I'm going to have a good sort out of my crafting stuff (already started on that) and finish off some of the projects that are part done.

I'm also going to do more recycling of stuff (used greeting cards, thread, yarn, fabric etc).

And finally I'm going to try and get all the birthday, anniversary cards I need for the year done well in advance - notice I only said I would try, not that I would!

After a poor crafting year in 2008, next year I plan to:

-do lots of jewellery and card making, using up my current supplies rather than buying lots more.
      -Make all my Xmas cards
-Scrapbook at least 12 of my favourite photos, and make sure the rest get put in photo albums as well.

Lots to do, hopefully will get in a few crafting days with my friend so we can chivvy each other along.

I don't generally make resolutions because I never keep them, but I am going to try and save up for a peter childs pyrography machine - I just have to have a go!

My new year resolution is to use up the beads that I have and not buy any more. The only thing I am going to allow myself to buy is findings.

But..... I am having a day out in Carlise tomorrow and no doubt will spend some money in the Bead Shed on beads...... but..... it's not new year yet

I'm very determined to get some of the business ideas we've had floating around launched, rather than just talking about them!

I also have a couple of items that are part made and in need of some insipration to get them finished and some that have taken a while to finish so I will still have those items on the go.

I have a load of really interesting and individual beads that need using up. I have an ideas book which I make a note of any ideas that I have and am now ready to get going on some of them!

Network more and focus on my online sales. Also improve my book keeping - just because I haven't written something down, doesn't mean I didn't buy it!

Visit local boutiques and galleries to see if they want to sell my jewellery - been putting it off for so long coz I'm too scared they'll say no

Just a thought, but could this be made a sticky to keep everyone on track and remind us, and maybe come back at the end of the year and say yes I did it

I'm going to try and be more focussed next year, I'm terrible for starting something then sitting down at the laptop and while I'm waiting for something to print off for example, I started looking at something else and before I know it, an hour has gone by

I'm also going to go back to the gym again, I used to actually quite enjoy it and always felt full of energy when I came out so, once everyone's back to work/school and back into a normal routine I'll make sure I go back.
