I wonder if it would work with ribbon? Would look great on a card.

AARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!! i just tried it with ribbon....it kept curling up and I screamed, so I'm not going near this so simple looking activity until I get the paper tomorrow.

        Really good instructions, IMO -

        http://www.origami-resource-center.c...vian-star.html

AND, i ordered a pack of multicolored strips!! (My husband is going to be miffed.) I will let yuo know if they're good...I think they may also be good for my iris folding cards, so I'm excited!

The paper strips are great...and for iris folding...AND, even with teh great directions, who would've dreamed I would have so much trouble!! Sheesh! Okay, humbling myself and posting pics - the paper looks a little worse for wear as I had to undo and start over twice...then when I pulled the leftovers ends taught, I tugged too hard, obviously, and ruined the cones on the opposite side...so, live and learn...

          The better side.

The...er...not so great side that got crumpled.

Now, off to undo the other one I did wrong...and try, try again. If I can get the hang of this, it'll be fun to do at market. The directions say to dip in paraffin and sprinkle with glitter, but what does everyone think of dipping it in shellac instead?
