  • Forums by area?

Hi new to the forum so apologies if this has already been said. Would it be possible to have regional section on the forums then you could see what is happening in your area eg craft fairs, shops etc?

    I would love that feature

The short answer is "No". This question has been asked before but it is felt that it is not necessary as we have a forum dedicated to craft fairs and you only have to ask the question on the open forums, there is always someone with all the information that you could want. Sorry if this is a disappointment.

Just to add to what Carol says - if your question is area specific do make sure you put the county or town in the title of your post as that way other local people will see it and click to read more.

Check out the community section. I know there are groups for Norfolk and Suffolk crafters so I'm sure there are other regional groups in there as well. They're not particularly well used, but they do exist.

I set up a community group for Wales.
But most people are searching for 'news' of craft fairs, and not many people are offering it!

I have set up a group for Surrey and Hampshire, you could always start one for Kent and post a thread about it.

Hello, Why is that a no? Is it because you don't have a filter facility to do so on this site? It would be so much more user friendly. And really help build local crafting communities. I think that it's more than a disappointment, it's a disadvantage. Please reconsider.

The decision was made because the forum works well as it does. There is no need to have them broken up because if members do as requested and post with the location in the title there is directive to the reader up front as to whether it's of interest to them to read.
We do have sub groups in our craft groups section should anyone want to join one.

Perhaps this is the way to go then, a group for each country. Is there one which covers my areas. (Three Counties)
