Privat mesages...limitation

Could someone explain why the limit in the Private message box is set at only 50 messages? I ask because I have had to download three times already today. I seem to be having to do it more often as people make enquireis ate. I understand the need to preserve bandwidth but haven't met any other limits quite this small elsewhere.

More curiosity and mild irritation than a complaint by the way, I am quite pleased to be getting so many enquiries

I use a few forums, and there is one other set at 50 (pain in the bottom! lol!) and the others set at 100. However, i did have one that allowed 250 for a while and my pm box was always full then! lol!

I suppose the alternative is to transfer any communications to email. That's too sensible thoug....Only just thought of it too busy sorting things out.

It was more of a query than a complaint as I hadn't come across it on any other forum. I have downloaded all my messages now and things have slowed down so it isn't really a problem. Just that in one day I sem to get a load of messages. Don't bother changing it for me. If it were a real problem others would have mentioned it as well and they hhaven't so carry on as is. Downloading as text means I still have the messages to refer back to if needed.
