As the mother of a dyslexic and the wife of another, I have to say I tend to tread lightly with regards to spelling and tollerate mistakes.

              Is this a deliberate wind-up?

It's the ENGLISH language and it's being butchered!

Not many speak proper like what I do. And my typings sometims a bit messy without me realising I missed a letter or something.

Or maybe just genuine errors! My husband is 45 and his spelling is terrible, misses out the middle of words, puts present tense instead of past etc., and although, luckily, we can have a laugh about it so it takes the pressure off him but he does still get embarrassed. We haven't all been lucky enough to either have had a good English teacher or have no trouble with grammar. knitsnstitch...shouldn't that be knits'n'stitch or knits 'n' stitch or knitsandstitch or even knits and stitch ?!

I agree but it's not a few spelling mistakes on the forum it is texting that is destroying the English language.
