  • Hello!

Was looking for local craft fairs and got totally sidetracked reading posts on this forum. I am married with kids and gave up my job as a medico legal clerk for the NHS a year and a half ago to pursue my passion for jewellery making.
I have my own website, which I'm ashamed to say I haven't updated for ages, struggle to find time for everything. Working from home is very hard, my family don't seem to think I am working and that I am on tap for them whenever they need me. I sell most of my jewellery and tiaras from a local beauty salon.
I have never done this forum stuff before and hope to get involved with some of the great jewellery making discussions on here.
I think I'm going on a bit now.
    bye

Hi Angie to the forum. You are not going on at all. It's a very friendly site here so you should find plenty of like minded people to have a chat with. I completely understand where you are coming from about working from home. It's really hard sometimes..but worth it most of the time!
    Enjoy your time here

I work in the NHS too and craft in my spare time which seems to be every minute that I am not at work.

            and hello from me too!

I work full time in the NHS also and try and spend what ever time I have left crafting. Quite difficult with 2 kids under 4 and a husband that works from home as the housework never seems to stay done for more than 5 minutes......

              Hello

Its great to see a fellow Essex crafter.
              Hope its all going well.

I am an events organiser and perhaps I could help with your search for fairs and events.

              Best wishes

              Lindsay.

                            Hello
I'm sure I will enjoy it here with so many like minded people to talk to.

I am very surprised to hear you have spare time considering you work for the NHS. I had to get out, I loved my workmates but got fed up sharing a pen between 3 of us - Ha Ha!

                            Thanks for the welcome
