  • Hi from me!

    Happy new year!!

Hi my name is Ben, I started dabbling in crafts about a year ago, bored while my partner played on the playstation. just starting a weeks holiday in which we plan to turn the spare room into my craft room. still learning and discovering but enjoying creating things.

    Look forward to chatting.

Welcome Ben. What crafts are you doing at the moment?

Tinkering around with cards and mixed media, but everything has been put on hold over christmas with the introduction of a new kitten. Everything is a toy to him so i had to pack up everything. so now really looking forward to decorating my room and building the craft desk (christmas suprise!)

      Thanks for the welcome.

Hi Ben, having a room dedicated to craft is soo good, stops my kitten running of with my yarn, so it should help with your little one lol

Welcome Ben. Trust me even when they grow up the cat will still see everything as a toy - or something that is taking your attention away from them and must be sat on with immediate effect

welcome to the forum! good luck with the kitty too! My Fluffy is nine years old... and a serious pain I can't often sit in my crafts room because he sits outside the door and yowls. When I'm knitting, he attacks the needles...when I'm sewing, he jumps on my lap and tries to get through the arm of the sewing machine... and I can't count the amount of times he has up-ended a tray of beads! xxx

Welcome to the forum! I'm jealous of your craft room plans. I don't have the space for one!

Thanks for all the welcomes, little Alfie is at the vets today having "the snip" so building my craft desk without everything being batted around the floor. It is quite complicated but i am determinded to succeed.

Remember having my Fergus done, made the mistake of putting him in one of those cardboard pet carriers and he managed to dig a hole in the side of it and escape on the way to the vet, can't blame him though!
