  • Hi, I'm new!

    Hi

My name is Paula, I'm 44 and have been cross stitching for 15 years now I'm also a full time carer for my disabled Mum, something I've done for almost 21 years, as well as stitching forums I'm also a moderator on 2 carer forums which campaign for better rights for carers.

My current stitching project is a huge picture of a lighthouse which quite frankly is driving me up the wall! I also have a baby sampler to start, my niece is expecting her 3rd baby in February, it's my 5th great niece/nephew so they keep me busy! I also like making my own cards, I've introduced card making into my cross stitch which I enjoy.

Apart from stitching I read mystery novels, listen to football on the radio, listen to music and have several carer pen/epals who keep me sane - well chocolate helps as well!

Thanks everyone for the lovely , I look forward to chatting with you all soon.

As for books I love Peter Robinson's Inspector Banks series, it's set in Yorkshire (I'm in South Yorkshire) so there are a lot of familiar areas.

Thanks again for your warm welcomes - no further with the stitching, I've just put another coat on the bathroom walls - it was pink, now it's cream and it's a b****r to cover!
