  • Hello everyonei, I'm new to the forum and my craft is mosaics :)

    Hi everyone,

This looks like a great source of information with some great people! I'm just starting my business and trying to work out the best ways to get people to visit my website and Facebook page - and buy my mosaics of course! I'd really appreciate any advice and experience that you have.

    Many thanks.

Hi Rhona and to the forum.

If you take a look through our business section here http://www.craftsforum.co.uk/forumdi...rafts-Business you'll find some really useful threads especially in the 'How to sell my crafts' bit. If you have any specific questions do feel free to ask and I'm sure they'll be plenty of members here who will be able to help.

I'm, new too but have got loads of advice here already from posting questions and from reading through others posts on the boards. Have you tried starting up a blog with regular posts about what you do, how you makes them etc plus joining Twitter too and posting links back to your shop there? I'm working hard on doing these things too and I'm starting to se results. Means more time on the computer than creating sometimes which is a pain though!

Hello and welcome to the forum. Your mosaics are absolutely gorgeous!

Please, please start a blog and post to it regularly - I can't recommend blogging highly enough!!! Every post can become a gateway to your website (I'll actually be posting a blog post about this soon!). You will find it's much easier to pick up visitors from search engines with blogging than with a website. You can then use the posts where you blog about a new product to refer potential customers to your website (and of course, you'll have links set up anyway).

Also, get a Twitter account. All this social media feeds off each other. Twitter is fab for business, but also for keeping in touch with similar businesses. It's quicker and easier to use than FB.

Above all, good luck. The whole marketing thing is hard work but a lot of fun too.
