  • Hello ~ I can't wait to get started!

    Hi everyone,
I stumbled upon craftsforum through a Google search and though “this looks promising!”. I’m really looking forward to exploring and joining in.
I love to sew but seem to be going through a phase of buying lots of lovely fabric rather than making things at the moment! I would like to try other crafts too so I look forward to finding some inspiration.

Welcome to the forum. There are quite a few on here who do fabric crafts so I'm sure they will be along to say hi, offer advice and pick your brains LOL. Pretty friendly bunch so join in.

Where in Cornwall are you? I am there at the moment though moving up country soon

Hi and it's a bit quiet at the moment but I'm sure all the fabric/sewing lot will be along tonight. I'm a card maker myself but have built up a little collection of lovely fabrics with the intention (one day - honest!) of doing some sewing so I may be picking your brains in the future

                hello, welcome to the forum,
I've been lurking in th background but have started to 'go public' now. I know what you mean about buying fabric, I'm trying to keep away from our local material shops and markets at the moment until I've at least used up some of my stash at home. I make fabric pictures which use up little scraps of materials so I can get a lot of sewing out of a little corner of beautiful fabric, but it's a great excuse to keep buying remants and odd bits and pieces - not that I really need an excuse just more money and storage space!!

Do you live anywhere near Bude? I have family in Bude and Stratton and love it down your way - wish I could move there sometime too - gorgeous part of the country.

Thank you for all welcoming me. I sense that I'm not alone in my fabric/craft supply hoarding tendancy, that's very comforting!
Roslet - I'm already spending far too much time on the forum!
Netty - Bude is not far away, I'm very lucky to live here.
Jan and Lisa - Thank you for following my blog. I'm still finding my feet with it.
