  • Greetings from Oxfordshire !

Hi everyone ! I've just registered and thought I'd be polite and introduce myself ! My main interest is making things out of recycled materials especially buttons - I'm off work this week and have been teaching myself how to make button tiaras (with mixed results ). I'm expecting to be made redundant from my IT job sometime soon so am currently debating whether to try and turn what I'm doing into something more than a hobby .... I'm wondering will it take the fun out of it and will I starve ?

I love looking at what other people are making (so much more interesting than what you see in the shops !) and also hope I'll pick up a few hints and tips along the way from you all. Now I'm off to look at posts on tiaras ....

Hi and to the forum. Sorry to hear about your job but as they say - as one door closes.......

We've got a few avid recycle crafters on here so you should feel at home, the button tiaras sound fascinating!

                Hello - I am new

                Hi - I am from Oxfordshire - Wantage ( not originally I am a Yorkie )

Just found craft forum and have only started making jewellery and other things like bookmarks and key rings fairly recently. Was getting stressed as have been going though months of job uncertainity - it has really helped - learnt lots already and hope to learn a lot more from this forum
