      Hello Teena!
      Welcome to the forum.
When I print toppers on to card to use on my cards I use my printer which is a Canon Pixma iP5200. It works really well. It is a top loading printer and takes pretty thick card.
I am afraid I can't recommend any other printer but at least that is a start for you.!
Enjoy your time here at in the forum and I look forward to getting to know you.

I currently use a HP3210 which will take some card. it wont take white hammered or plain pearlescent but will take ebossed pearlescent and many other card i have tried in it. it all depends how thick your card is really. mine will take 240gm photo paper but wont take 240gm card, dont know why.

        to the forum anyway.

I've got one of these too and it's pretty good for a bubble-jet (rather than a laser printer)

The only thing I've found with it is it can get a bit clogged up with ink on large runs but I guess all printers do that

I've always been too paranoid about smudging (especially when things get wet in the post) to use an inkjet at all. You can get a laser printer with a straight-through feed now for so little it might be worth considering?
