Hi everyone, never been on a forum before but was curious and found this one on google. I have a relativly new web site and would be interested to know what people think of it and could maybe give me some pointers on what they think. Also owning a craft shop i think i maybe able to share my experince of cardmaking and scrapbooking with others.

Hi emma, Just had a quick look at your website, how do you find having a shop online, their is a lotof competition out there. I have a bricks and mortar shop as well.

To be honest, not very good. I can't afford to set up a 'proper shop' so i have to settle for a website. I have had my website since October 2006 but didn't bother with it much untill a couple of months ago. Hopefully things will improve then i can get more supplies to put on it but at the moment it will have to do.

I've been looking at your site too and got really jealous to find you have the wizard. I have been on the web all day looking for a supplier for the wizard and Ellison/sizzix machines with not much luck, just waiting for some emails from the US.

You have a lovely site which is easy to navigate and a nice wide range of stock, i hope your website proves to be a succsess (can't spell!). The best way to get your site known is to give all your 'shop' customers a flyer (you probably already do this, i'm just trying to sound clever).

Anyway i best get back to my searching,

Welcome to the forum! Sorry I am so late welcoming you..I went to bed early last night! I am a card maker too so there are lots of us here who can give each other pointers etc.
It's hard work running a business on the web, it keeps me busy day and night!! so it must be doubly hard to have a B&M shop as well.
I look forward to getting to know you better.

Thanks for your input on my website, it is proving very slow going trying to get it up and running,especially as i am in the shop full time 6 days a week and dont have the internet there. I will keep persevering with it though .

Have you tried Ellison.com for ellison stuff,you have to buy it directly from them as far as i know, i think there uk department is in ireland. There first minimum order is £500 which put me off as i couldnt fit that much of their stuff in my small shop.
