Hello All, Ive just signed up.

Im just starting out and want to get into jewellery making, im currently getting all my tools and ordering my first beads, its very exciting.

I live in Stoke on Trent, Staffordshire, not sure if anybody knows any good bead shops in the area because the only place I can find is HobbyCraft at Bridgemere.

Hi and welcome! I make mosaics but have just made a few pairs of earrings to see how I get on. I love crafts and understand why you're so excited! I got my beads from 'Spellbound Beads'. They have a shop in Lichfield (not sure if that's too far for you to come?) and also have a website:

Or you could try searching bead shops on www.yell.com to see if there are any in the Stoke area? That's how I found the Lichfield shop.

Welcome to the forum: I've only been a member for a very short while, and in the last week haven't been on much as OH and I laid a new patio and painted the fornt of the house instead. By the time I'd finished wheeling barrows of stuff - sand, slabs, gravel, and that mucky sticky stuff you stick your slabs down with - I was tooooooo tired to do anything but shower and sleep.

And of course in the meantime no housework of any description got done ( apparently I was supposed to keep on top of that and cook meals as well) and so I am trying slowly to get the house at least part way clean again.

Does anyone know how to get cement off a polished oak floor???? Came in on the dogs' feeties.
