    Hi everyone,
I have been making cards for about 4 years. A few years ago i was producing and selling about 600 cards a week. I had an agent working for me, she left, then we moved house and i let it all slip.

However, i have 25 new designs to launch, my agent left me her database so i am going to sell them by myself, yikes! I have spent alot of time working on them, getting them right and now feel confident showing them off!

I'm also in the throws of setting up a wedding stationery business. Again I have 22 designs. I have booked a professional photographer for the end of August (good quality pics are very important for the website) but i haven't settled on a website developer as yet, I have had quotes from £500 to £2000!!

I'm also thinking about booking a few wedding fayres towards the end of the year, they're pretty pricey up here (£385 for 2 days, so i might do one and a few smallish ones)

If i can be of any help to anyone then please get in touch.

    Regards
    BG

Hello and welcome to the forum. I take it that to be able to produce 600 cards a week, they are not all hand made?

Sorry also meant to say, the best tip i can give fellow card makers who want to sell to shops is to keep them simple. Don't go in with 50 cards, spend time on a small amount (i work with 15 - 20) Get them right, follow a theme so they are all similar in style. So, for example, if you are working with say mini pom poms then all your range should include pom poms.
                          Best sellers are
                          Weddings
                          Engagement
                          Anniversary
                          General Birthday
                          Graduation
                          Good Luck
                          Get Well
You're pregnant! (believe it or not)
                          Hope this helps for starters..

                              hi and welcome!

I haven't tried a wedding fair... but it is something im thinking about.

I do embroidered gifts.... but also wedding stationary and matching embroidered napkins for the wedding breakfast table... I have only been going a couple of months, so not had chance for wedding fairs yet.... i think I'll wait until the spring for that.

But, i would love to hear how you get on!

Check out my weddingnapkins... it might be something you could offer.... and then we can discuss wholesale prices.
