  • Just to say Hi & any fairs in West Mids

    Hi everyone.

I am new to the crafts scene having found my love of crafting from enrolling on a floristry course at college. One week our tutor showed us how to make wedding novelties using wiring techniques. I found it very therapeutic as my full time job in sales can be demanding at times. I would like to be able to sell some of my creations at a craft fair and thought it would be a good way of meeting other people with similar interests. If anyone can give me advice on any suitable fairs within the West Midlands or just wants to say hi please do so.

Hello and . I cant help with fairs in your area though, other than to say look on www.ukcfis.co.uk or the craft fair section on the forum.

nice to see you here. If you go to the bottom of this page there is a 'drop down' window, it is a blue line with the words Forum Jump above. In there is a relevant forum called UK Craft Fairs. There may be something in there to help. Other than that someone will be along with a few pearls of wisdom shortly so don't go away.

Hi and welcome to the forum

Do keep checking on the craft fair section on here, because there's new stuff added all the time. You could also start a thread there asking about fairs in your area - you might get a better response there.

Also try http://www.stallfinder.co.uk , and check the website of your local council, or those nearby, you sometimes come across one that way. Once you get started, you'll learn about them from other stallholders, and it kind of snowballs!

            Craft Fairs West Midlands

            Hi

I am new to craft fairs myself and i have started with one at The Custard Factory in Birmingham.

It runs alongside the Saturday Flea market. I have just got back and not sold alot but got alot of priceless knowledge in return.

Its £15 a table with free drinks and cakes and is on 20th & 27th June. The organiser is going to put some photos on the website early next week so if you google The Custard Factory the details should be there.

            Hope this helps.

              thanks all

Thanks everyone for the info on craft fairs and how to find them. The one in Birmingham sounds interesting. I have just found out on Friday that I may be made redundant. I am so glad I can get info on how I can sell my crafts as I think I am certainly going to need to.
