  • Hello from Ireland

    Hello members
My name is Brenda and I'm quite new to the craft business. I've been a graphic designer and art director for many years but have only recently set up my own craft merchandise business, Ruby Rose Creative Services. It's pretty daunting given the current economic situation but thankfully things are going well so far. Fingers crossed!

    regards to all,
    Brenda

Thanks for that Wendy. Your art is really lovely - I especially like the beach hut paintings, they're gorgeous.

It's great to see so many craftspeople on here - makes me feel like I'm not on my own!

              Crafts

Thanks very much for the welcome. I think it's great that crafts are so popular at the moment (I've been crafting since I was first able to draw as a child so it's been a way of life really) especially with programmes like Kirstie Allsop's one recently - great to see it being promoted. The only problem here is the lack of good craft fairs. Not sure if it's the same in the UK but in Ireland they are few and far between and the ones that are on are very bad quality and not very well run.

Hi Brenda and welcome. Fortunately craft fairs are better organised here (most of the time!! lol) and if you are lucky you find enuf to keep the wolf from the door. Good luck in your venture.
