    Hi

I really enjoy working with silver art clay and fusing glass. I have just made a very exciting purchase of my first proper kiln (prometheus rmp-8) but I am having a hard time trying to set the controller does any one have any tips or know where I can get hold of a user manual. I have managed to do a simple firing for silver clay. Please help

Hello Deb and to the forum, sorry cannot help with the kiln. I used to have hobbytech 40 and used mini bars in the kiln setter part which would switch off the controller once the firing had been done for the necessary length of time. There are other glass makers on here so hopefully they can help.

. I mess with fabrics so no help there I;m afraid. Used to play with kilns years ago when I did a bit of pottery but you could print my knowledge on a postage stamp.

Hi and welcome to the forum!

Unfortunately I am also new to silver art clay so I haven't got any help I can offer you.

You could try posting a query in one of the craft specific sections to see if someone there can help? I looked in the jewelley section and there are quite a few members there who might be able to help.

                      Good luck!

                      Karen

Hi Thanks for all your comments. But fingers crossed and having spent 4 hours with the guys I brought the kiln from it appears to be working now. Thank goodness. Can't wait to get making now.
