Hi there,
I'm Ali, I'm 31, I live in Derbyshire. I've always loved making things, the highlights of childhood Christmas and birthday presents were always the craft kits people gave me, my career has followed in the same vein. I did Metalwork and Jewellery Design at uni and then was a secondary Craft Design Technology teacher (my area was woodwork) I also did some adult jewellery classes.
In Oct '08 I had a baby boy, and feel a different way of life and a new set of challenges are long overdue. I'm hoping to lay the foundations for a small business selling my creations alongside bringing up my children. I no longer get a buzz from teaching.
I like to make things from wood, metal and fabric and am learning to knit and crochet. I look forward to being inspired by, chatting with and seeking advice from like minded people.
